Jennifer Aniston has raced across the globe for a "hot date with her ex-Friends co-star David Schwimmer.
The pair, who played on-again/off-again lovers Ross Geller and Rachel Green for 10 years, enjoyed their romantic encounter in London. After flying from LA to the capital city and checking into her $6000-a-night suite at the Dorchester hotel, Jen was quick to make contact with David, who's currently starring in the West End play Some Girls.
The gorgeous couple met. up at Joe Allen's restaurant in Covent Garden..Qnlookers say David, 38, and Jennifer, 36, could not contain their joy at meeting up again.
"They looked really happy to see each other:' says a source. "David had this goofy grin:' Onlookers say that Jen rested her head on David's shoulder before kissing him on the cheek in full view of other restaurant patrons. The actor then reportedly held the attractive actress while telling her how lovely she looked.
David's rep denies the former co'stars are an item, saying, "[David] really cares for Jen and is worried about her:' However, insiders believe that Jennifer may have flown to London just to see David. While the actress was rumoured to be doing re-shoots for her flick Derailed, studio bosses say the film is now wrapped. Instead, the star spent her week in London holed up in her luxury hotel suite and seeing her former on-screen lover.
Insiders say Jen appeared the most relaxed she's looked in months. "She didn't seem down," says a source. "She seemed really happy." Curiously, her date with David breaks the actress's reported pledge to stop meeting male friends in public, for fear they'll be romantically linked.
"She finds it very upsetting and very stressful, that's why she's cooled off all her male friendships," reveals a source. "She's told them it's for their sake rather than her own."
But insiders say her very public meeting with David signals that the pair are much more than friends. It also hints that Jen is ready to move on after her devastating split from actor Brad Pitt, 41, in January. It isn't the only change Jen is making in her life. Sources reveal that instead of feeling
humiliated by Brad's romance twith his gorgeous Mr And Mrs JSmith co-star Angelina Jolie,
she has decided to fight back with a glamorous makeover.
"She feels like she's been suppressing her inner clothes horse and she's plotting her next move very carefully," reveals an insider.
The star is ready to drop her girl-next-door persona and take on a smouldering Angelina-style look. Jen has reportedly asked one of her best pals, celebrity hairdresser Chris McMilian, to give her a sexy new look.
"Basically, she wants to 'out-Angelina' Angelina," says an insider. In line with her quest
to get rid of the "old Jen", the actress is believed to be selling the six- bedroom Beverly Hills mansion she shared with Brad. The couple bought the home in 2001 for $18 million and renovated it
together. Keen to get rid of the many memories- and determined not to let Angelina become its new owner - Jen has put it on the market for about $35 million.
While friends say that her decision to move on from Brad is positive, they are worried she seems to be doing it with David.
With rumours that her unwillingness to have children was a major factor in her split from Brad, insiders fear she is set for heartbreak if she gets further involved with the equally baby-hungry Friends actor.
David told an interviewer earlier this month, "Basically, I don't think I'll truly be happy until I'm a father and a husband. "There's a part of me that thinks, 'Did the celebrity thing; did the entertainment thing; done plays; done TV; done film -done it: So when you get to the philosophical, 'What's life really about?', then, if you're a man, it comes down to being a father: With Jen focused on her career, pals are hoping she picks a more suitable boyfriend before she makes the same relationship mistake again.
